I've just gotten back from a 2 week trip around Europe with my friend, visiting Warsaw, Berlin, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Paris & Barcelona, the trip was absolutely amazing and I met so many cool and interesting people from across the globe.
As I tried to pack as light and cheap as possibly I only took film cameras with me as I didn't want to risk taking my expensive DSLR and have the possibility of it breaking or being robbed so all of my shots are on film, which I personally think is a good thing - but also very, very expensive.
These photos are from Paris - one or two may be from Barcelona - which was my second favourite place on our trip. It's such an amazing place with such nice architecture, food and a Chanel on every corner, which is weird and also highly depressing. The price of Paris is also a dampener to the city - I've never been anywhere so expensive and coming back to Nottingham after made everything seem so cheap.
Paris mainly consisted of us visiting the main attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, Notre Dame, Concorde, Palaise De Tokyo etc as well as several A.P.C. stores which were awesome - It's my favourite brand. We also got drunk under the Eiffel Tower and then got sent to the other side of Paris by one of the metro workers just as the metro was about to stop but managed to get back to our hostel unscathed. We mainly walked everywhere just because the city is just so nice to look at and we had awesome weather on the first day, with the last two raining. Visiting The Louvre was also slightly disappointing, especially as we woke up at 7am to avoid queue's - which is a good idea if you plan on visiting - I just fount it far to repetitive, which is probably really bad to say, but I'm not really a fan of historical art. The Mona Lisa is also extremely overrated but, I can say I stood right in front of it as the museum was practically empty. We mostly had a look around the African and Egyptian art which was a lot more interesting then the hoards of christian art plastered all over the walls but found ourselves leaving the museum after about an hour and a half haha.
Palaise De Tokyo was much more up my street however, it was a lot more modern and experimental, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to as I felt really shit. It was still really good though and the art was really interesting especially the large interactive musical sculpture, videos and photography and their gift shop is a fucking dream, they sold EVERYTHING in terms of magazines, books and DVD's such as Toiletpaper (magazine) - which I was so tempted to buy but too broke -, Hobo Magazine and so much more.
I have another 2ish rolls of film for Paris left to get developed but I plan on getting them done in the near future as I'm broke as fuck atm and I'm just picking up rolls of film at random so my trip will probably be very disjointed and incoherent...
